SAFETY
Beam’s 1:4 staff to camper ratio makes it possible for all campers to be supervised at all times. All activities begin with a thorough discussion of safety precautions and procedures. Protective eyewear and clothing is required when working with hand-tools. All campers wishing to swim in the lake are required to pass a swim test. All waterfront and lake activities are supervised by Red Cross certified lifeguards.

HEALTHCARE
We have a full-time staff nurse with us at camp. Huggins Hospital, a fully-equipped and Emergency-ready facility is twenty miles away in Wolfeboro, NH.

Beam meals (both vegetarian and omnivorian) prepared by our staff Chef are varied, tasty, nutritious and balanced. We will purchase local, organic products whenever practical.

LIVING QUARTERS
Campers reside in newly constructed wood-framed cabins with built-in bunks and storage. Our brand new shower and toilet facilities are located within 30 feet of each cabin grouping. Each cabin will house two counselors and no more than twelve campers.

BEAM FINALE
We hope that all Beam Families will join us for a few hours on the final day of camp (August 17) to celebrate the Beam Project and pick up their campers.
