When I was a little girl, my dad used to sit and read maps like other people read books. He’d just happily stare at them and smoke his pipe and look kind of dreamy for hours.
It’s fun to look at maps in other languages, especially non-roman alpha, like Cyrillic or Thai or Japanese, especially when you’re traveling.
